HealthCare Connections provides temporary workers for healthcare providers on a daily basis, creating the ability to meet staffing shortages which occur on an immediate basis. Many staffing needs arise which are not long term requirements, allowing facilities to fill in staff on short notice. Facilities have the ability to cancel requests which have been filled without receiving monetary consequences, allowing for the flexibility of their ever changing census and staffing requirements.

Scheduling for a twenty-four hour per day, seven day a week industry, is a constant battle for facilities; to ensure patient care is effectively performed, without having a unit being overstaffed. Budgets cannot withstand the costs of long periods of overstaffing. HealthCare Connections exists to assist in the scheduling for any needs not being met by the facilities core staff. Because of the minute by minute changes in patient census, scheduling is an ongoing process.

The cost to a facility of maintaining full-time nursing staff includes far more than hourly wages. In addition to basic salaries, facilities must consider overtime, payroll taxes, FICA, workers’ compensation, liability insurance and other fringe benefits for each employee. Also to be added are the costs of hiring, orientation, training and separation, plus the fixed overhead to administer all personnel management activities.

As the employer, HealthCare Connections takes all responsibility for the supervision and management of its employees, including all payroll and other related expenses.
